Big Wheels Keep On Turning
While it may appear a bit daunting at first, the premise behind Rabbit The Pirate is simple. Rabbritt is lost in space. In a galaxy full of spinning wheels, you have to jump and propel yourself to the next spinning wheel or planetoid. When jumping from wheel to wheel, you have the ability to collect energy packs along the way. To propel yourself, you have to tap on the screen. It could not be any simpler than that. The direction you move is determined by which place on the wheel you land on. If you land on the left side of a wheel and tap, you will move left. If you land on the right side, then you will move right. The downside to this however is that you have a limited number of taps. Tap and miss a wheel and you will fall. Game over.
Verdict
The game play on this game is extremely addictive. If you aren’t paranoid about falling off wheels, you’re more paranoid about ending up on the right location on the wheel. If you’re not paranoid about that, you’re worried about collecting energy packs and trying to get as far as you can! The first level feels like a full game unto itself and will make you forget that there are subsequent levels to unlock. Rabbit the Pirate is unique in a videogame-sphere that is saturated with games that are all too similar in the objective and gameplay. It is definitely worth a look.
