Are the calls you want blocked REALLY being blocked? Have you ever picked up your android device in excitement just to get the red "SPAM" or "Telemarketer" prompt and then turn red yourself due to wasted time? While mobile manufacturers have upped the ante by including helpful spam notifications and more comprehensive blocking features, for many it still isn't enough. "Call Bouncer" however aims to fix that.

Call Bouncer doesn't just notify you about spam or telemarketer calls, it is almost like an impenetrable firewall. In addition to doing what your phone already does, it can block ALL unfamiliar numbers. If the number isn't in your contact, be gone! This means you won't know that you received the call when you're going about your daily activities.

It gets better. You can create block lists. Calls can be placed into three categories: "Block", "Reject" or "Silent". All are self-explanatory. The "silent" in our opinion will be a favorite of professionals who may only want urgent calls or contact from loved ones. The functionality attached to these lists goes even further with pause and timeframe functions. Only want your "Reject" list to operate from 10PM-5AM? No problem. Want the lists to be active on just Saturday and Sunday? Easy! I have a barber who works by appointments and refuses to take calls from clients after he leaves his shop. This app would be perfect fit for him.

Calls in custom lists can also be placed into Normal and High priority categories. An added convenience is the ability to import block lists. If you for example wish to bring in a list or nationwide telemarketers, it's as easy as tapping on the import functions. The home screen will show all app activity. Parameters displayed include the phone number, block list it is on, time the call was received and the response. Finally, in the settings menu, you can activate or disable blocking rejecting, silencing, block fail verification and whether to block all unknown numbers. You can also toggle block lists.
